Resilience Award – Harvard Debate Camp
I just got back from Harvard Debate Camp Session Two, competing in the World Schools division, and I won an award! This was my very first time doing debate, so I’m still processing how all of it went down. But honestly, the award means so much more to me than I can put into words.
It was for resilience — for working through tough problems and not giving up, even when I was struggling to understand the way debate works. My coach had been encouraging me nonstop throughout the camp. When he first started debating, he won a similar award, so for him to hand it to me felt like this beautiful passing-of-the-torch moment.
I’m really proud of what I accomplished, but even more grateful for the people who believed in me enough to help me get there. 🌟
